Training Managers work closely with other stakeholders, including other Managers of Training, our Regional Human Resources team to ensure course attendance and accountability and the Instructional Design team in designing, developing, and delivering all curriculum.

The Training Manager is responsible for facilitating instructor-led virtual and in-person training along disciplines across our After-Sales teams. Training may include but not be limited to training and delivering new hire onboarding, After-Sales Ignitions, executive level “Manager, Customer Experience training or University” classes, and new process and program training as directed. The Training Manager will become an expert in the AutoNation processes in after-sales. Working with the Manager of Training and Directors of Talent, our Training Managers will work to drive positive results in lowering turnover, increasing CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index), and providing a transparent customer experience.
This person must reside in the Orlando, Dallas, or Las Vegas market.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
Deliver best-in-class virtual and/or in-person training
- Train and certify Service Advisors and Service Managers on the AN After Sales process.
- Track training, certification, attendance, and completion of the company’s learning management system (LMS)
- Deliver in-class training for executive-level “Manager University” classes as directed
- Train and certify Leaders, Managers, and Associates on key company-wide learning initiatives (e.g., customer experience, operations-specific processes, etc.) as appropriate
- Learn all facets of the automotive business, from the showroom sales process, Phone and eCommerce sales, Used Vehicle Sales, Customer Financial Services, and After-Sales, to be capable of delivering effective training across all areas of expertise
- Continuous professional development of training skills and participation in company train-the-trainer programs.
- Attend weekly team meetings to get updates on the latest processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Flexibility - comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment demonstrated through working on multiple projects at the same time within tight timelines
- Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills are essential.
- Intermediate skills with general PC usage and applications
- Must meet the company’s requirements for employment.
- Possess an understanding of adult learning principles and a track record of training
- Valid state driver’s license
- Proven organizational, communication, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated experience in presenting to groups in a classroom environment and virtual environment (e.g., Teams/Zoom/Webex/Adobe Connect) as well as a personal one on one training environment
- Intermediate skills with MS Office applications
Physical Requirements:
- Requires minimal travel (<5%)
