We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our dynamic team in the field of Environmental Management. You will play a vital role in developing, implementing, and maintaining our comprehensive Quality Assurance program. Your expertise will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards while promoting a culture of excellence throughout our organization. Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain a formal, comprehensive Quality Assurance program for all functions and programs in Environmental Management Services (EMS).
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements from agencies such as the Joint Commission, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and the Environmental Protection Agency.
Monitor and evaluate quality aspects of various sections including Sanitation, Waste Management, Pest Control, Textile Distribution, and Linen.
Serve as a co-chairperson of the EMS Quality Assurance Committee, actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Conduct quality assurance inspections, reviews, and provide regular updates on performance metrics.
Investigate and analyze adverse quality trends or conditions to initiate corrective action plans.
Coordinate training activities, including monthly training for approximately 300 employees, ensuring compliance and maintaining training records.
Develop training courses and materials, conduct needs assessments, and provide guidance to management and supervisory staff.
Use innovative teaching methods and tools to enhance employee learning and engagement.
Collaborate with National Program Office, VISN Coordinators, and department users to develop and maintain current course materials.
Evaluate courses and competencies, recommending corrective actions as necessary.
Monitor vendors/contractors' adherence to technical procedures, time and attendance records, and training requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of specialized experience in training, instructing, or supervising in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment, preferably in the environmental services field.
Strong knowledge of laundry and sanitation operations, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance principles.
Ability to develop and deliver training programs, evaluate effectiveness, and adapt to diverse learning needs.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Proficient in using teaching methods and tools to maximize learning outcomes.
Bachelor's degree in education or a related field is preferred, but equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
