Job Description
General Summary
Responsible for the department on-boarding process and the annual trainings calendar. This position will be responsible for the department standardized training, hands on curriculum and the required classroom sessions including planning the monthly training sessions as outlined in the annual training calendar. Working independently with minimal supervision, performs relatively complex administrative support duties including creating and preparing routine materials and proofreading, verifying, and editing all materials for accuracy and clarity. Utilizes advanced computer-based software to prepare complex correspondence, reports, charts, tables, forms, and presentations. The following are general characteristics of this job.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities
  • Discharge/daily room cleaning
  • Organizes the training calendar to comply with deadlines and priorities, works independently to complete routine department duties and prepare routine correspondence, reports, forms for review by management.
  • Recommends improvements to processes to enhance department efficiency.
  • May perform department specific duties as directed such as, but not limited to:
  • Types and/or creates complex and routine correspondence, reports, various forms, tables, pamphlets, etc. from rough draft, handwritten notes, or general verbal instructions and makes changes in grammar, punctuation or spelling as needed. Proofreads and edits drafts and final materials for appropriate and consistent format, accuracy of financial figures or other data and correct punctuation, spelling and grammar. Composes routine correspondence as needed.
  • Organizes all aspects of training for Environmental Services (EVS). Including, but not limited to new employee training, annual competency training, department/job specific training, hazardous waste handling, restorative floor care, annual training calendar, etc.).
  • Tracks the ongoing training compliance information and maintains complete records for the management reporting/compliance.
  • Arranges meetings and trainings, schedules follow up classes, and one-on-one trainings with the support of the supervisors for team members in need of refresher classes.
  • EVS command center support
  • Waste hauling/handling
  • Utilizes Microsoft Office software to update and maintain assigned training materials, tracking tools, workflows, Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) guidelines.
  • Restorative floorcare projects
  • Provide input and guidance on the training calendar as well as prioritization of different sessions based on prior sessions/implementations.
  • Provides input into the development of departmental policies, procedures and guidelines based on based on best practice and experience gained in the commission of their role.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • A minimum of one year of supervisory experience in any related field
  • A minimum of one year of housekeeping lead experience
  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience:
  • A minimum of six years of housekeeping experience or a minimum of three years in parallel training coordinator role.
  • Required Education, Skills and/or Experience:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other programs including but not limited to: Microsoft office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Business Intelligence) Epic, Webex/Teams or other conferencing software, web-based research.
