Job Description
Anika Systems Incorporated is looking for a passionate and talented Trainer to join our expanding Federal team. We are a fast-growing, woman-owned small business providing innovative IT solutions for federal government agencies. This opportunity is 100% remote.


Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a government suitability clearance.


The Data Literacy Branch fosters a data culture at USCIS where employees effectively incorporate data into everyday operations. The Data Literacy Branch leverages a comprehensive maturity model focused on establishing a data-fluent ecosystem that include foundation learning, experiential and social learning via data-focused communities of practice, and enhanced sustainment opportunities to holistically refresh and improve data literacy and acumen within the agency.


Required Qualifications:


  • Proven record of excellent time management, organizational, prioritization skills, and demonstrated Agility (ability to manage multiple/competing priorities & wear multiple hats)
  • 7+ Years of Training and Instructional Design experience including instructor-led training in a corporate environment for LIVE and/or LIVE virtual classroom via WebEx, MS Teams, or Zoom.
  • Experience and Agile/Scrum certification is required
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities and participant performance
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvements
  • Federal government experience
  • Proven record of using automation and technology to improve efficiency and lower costs
  • Experience designing learning plans, design documents, user guides, participant / facilitator guides, and job aids, and designing computer-based training using Articulate, Captivate, Flash, or similar authoring tool
  • Experience in leading large-scale development of curriculum including classroom, webinar, and computer-based training modules
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity (write content on topics you are not the expert, leverage development and escalation process(s), SMEs, process documents etc. for content and media)
  • Dynamic verbal and non-verbal communicator, create and maintain a collaborative work environment with critical business partners, ability to garner the buy in of multiple areas
  • Proven track record of utilizing adult learning principles to design effective, engaging and innovative learning solutions
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems is required
  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent/related experience

  • Change agent, intuitive problem solver
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Experience creating processes, guidelines, and procedures for training organizations
  • Superior interpersonal skills, ability to work with all levels of employees and management across all functional areas
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Proven ability to create and maintain a collaborative work environment with critical business partners
  • Process mapping / documentation experience
