Job Description
Provides general and specialized IT training to government personnel and contractors. Produces training plans and materials and delivers the training content. Tasks include training new employees how to log in and access basic services and conducting introductory courses for standard desktop software (such as Office 365). Performs specialized IT training to include new employee orientation on end user applications, mobile devices, phones, and voicemail; refresher classes on core end user applications; specialized role-based security training; and specialized applications and end-user equipment. Conducts technical brown-bag training sessions.
Qualifications
Required Skills
  • Innovative thinker and self-starter.
  • Strong general understanding of IT and IT vernacular, with a focus on service desks and associated Tier 1/Tier 2 and asset management teams.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and within a team.
  • Must be able to multitask assignments and projects, work in a fast-paced environment, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Minimum experience of at least 4 years as a technical trainer developing and delivering multimedia training on Service Desk processes and end user technologies.
  • Must be proficient using MS Project, MS Word, O365, PowerPoint, and appropriate multimedia tools.
  • Must have a positive and patient customer service attitude.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and electronically to various levels of staff with various levels of understanding of technology.
  • Must be able to obtain agency suitability clearance prior to start date.
