What are we looking for in a Therapist?
Therapists at Comprehensive utilize evidence-based practices to provide clients and their families with support in learning new skills and connecting to community resources. Counseling and skill development may be provided through individual or group sessions, depending on need. Therapist positions require excellent listening and communication skills, as well as a desire to collaborate to assist each client with reaching his or her recovery goals. Clinical supervision and training in evidence-based practices are provided as part of this position. For this particular role, Therapists will be part of our New Journeys team, a youth-focused program whose goal is to minimize the trauma, disruption, and potential disability that can result from psychosis and schizophrenia-related symptoms. The New Journeys program works to identify as early as possible individuals who are experiencing psychosis, stabilize their symptoms, strengthen their family & social supports, and help develop the skills and knowledge to manage their condition for the long term. This program serves young people age 15-25 who have experienced their first episode of psychosis within the previous year. Although the work schedule will be mostly Monday-Friday day shift, due to the nature of the New Journeys program, the Therapist must be willing to serve youth and their families outside of regular business hours, including scheduling evening and weekend appointments when needed. Emergency call coverage is also provided on a rotating basis with additional compensation. This position is located in our Pasco office and will serve families throughout Benton and Franklin Counties.
Therapist duties may include:

• Assessing clients for safety and risk to self or others, and taking appropriate crisis intervention measures when indicated
• Collaborating with each client to create an individualized treatment plan
• Providing routine services and crisis coverage outside of regular business hours.
• Facilitating behavioral health groups
• Providing individual and family therapy
• Assisting with case management as needed
• Completing mental health intakes and assessments
• Thorough and timely completion of required clinical documentation

Qualifications:

• Must be eligible for or working toward independent licensure (LICSW or LMHC) in Washington
• Must be eligible for registration as Agency Affiliated Counselor
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide documentation upon hire or be approved for a qualifying medical or religious exemption & accommodations prior to starting work
• Valid driver's license, vehicle liability insurance, and at least two years of driving experience
• Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field
