Posting Summary


Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant for the Health Informatics Department within the School of Health Profession. The Temporary Research Assistant will assist the faculty member in the conduct of the faculty member’s research studies. Bilingual in English/Spanish highly preferred.


Among the key duties of this position are the following:


  • Support grant-related research activities.
  • Assist with data clean, data analysis, and data interpretation.
  • Assist with protocol initiation and development, alongside PI and study team.
  • Assist with data collection in RedCap/Qualtrics.
  • Assist with eIRB initiation.
  • Data collection and data management (e.g., interviews, surveys, experiments).
  • Human subjects’ recruitment, management, monitoring.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience


  • Enrolled in a master’s or doctorate program.
  • Research experience or strong interest in behavioral, epidemiological, and/or health services research is required.


Certifications/Licenses


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with social network analysis, text analysis, and other computational analysis is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Proficiency and knowledge of multiple statistical software packages preferred, such as SPSS , SAS , R, python, etc.
