Job Description
The College of Performing Arts (CoPA) at The New School is seeking a highly qualified Part-Time Program Administrator to join its curriculum and learning staff. The curriculum and learning staff is responsible for all academic operations at the College of Performing Arts. The Program Administrator is responsible for cataloging the technical resources required by each course planned at the College, and ensuring the allocation and delivery to each course of the necessary technical resources.

The Program Administrator reports to the Manager of Scheduling and Operations. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational, analytic, communication, and interpersonal skills, and be skilled with data management.

This is a part-time, onsite position with an anticipated work schedule of 18 hours per week with a duration of 52 weeks. The position is subject to renewal pending institutional need and availability of funding. Nights and weekends will be required on occasion.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a point-person for all College faculty regarding the technology and facility needs of their courses including submission of work orders as assigned
  • Support the Manager of Scheduling and Operations in the course room assignment process to ensure the appropriate room placement of all courses based on courses’ technical and facility needs
  • Oversee the sourcing and provision of technical resources as needed for new and existing courses and co-curricular programs
  • Respond in real-time to classroom setup, technology, and supplies requests from faculty and staff
  • Partner with information technology stakeholders within the College and University to ensure IT resources are available for instruction as needed
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Collect and analyze data concerning the hardware, software, equipment, and facilities needs of all courses and co-curricular programming at the College of Performing Arts. Leverage data to inform course planning decisions

Salary Range:
$30/hour
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experienced or able to learn and develop fluency in The New School’s suite of data systems including WorkDay, Tableau, Banner, and 25Live.
  • Excellent task-management, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, summarize, and draw conclusions from large datasets
  • Prior relevant administrative experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to Equity, Inclusion, Social Justice, and the transformative power of the arts and education
  • Ability to adhere to university COVID-19 policy and requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders including faculty, students and staff
Preferred Qualifications:
