Title: Trade Compliance Manager - Temp
Reports to: Sr. Manager of Logistics & Trade Compliance
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Compliance Manager for a temporary 6-month position. The responsibilities of this role include managing US Customs PSC filings, conducting customs entry audits, assigning USHTS to Masterfile, and managing duty drawback processes.
The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge and experience in trade compliance and be a results-driven individual capable of delivering timely outcomes.
PROFILE
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor import/export activities, including CITES, proactively identify potential compliance issues, and take necessary corrective actions.
- Accurately classify goods in the Masterfile using appropriate USHTS codes for precise tariff classification of all imports.
- Manage the post-summary corrections (PSCs) and prior disclosures (PDs) to ensure accurate and timely submissions to US Customs.
- Optimize duty recovery by effectively managing the duty drawback program, identifying eligible goods for drawback claims, and ensuring adherence to all requirements.
- Support the development and maintenance of CTPAT-related procedures, documentation, and security protocols.
- Conduct thorough customs entry audits to identify any discrepancies and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in US Customs and PGA regulations ensuring ongoing compliance.
- Provide guidance and training to team on customs compliance matters, promoting awareness and adherence to relevant regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in US trade compliance, preferably in the luxury fashion industry or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing customs operations and product classification of apparel, accessories, and footwear.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for efficient collection, manipulation, and analysis of large data sets.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills and proven work ethic with desire to do more than is expected.
- In-depth knowledge of US Customs regulations, import clearance procedures, and post release processes.
- US customs broker license, Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in international business or logistics is preferred.
- Keen attention to detail combined with a proactive, positive can-do attitude.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The role will be offered an annual salary within the range of $95,000 - $110,000, plus opportunity to participate in the Company's medical plans, along with additional employees' discounts and perks.
