Job Summary

The Telecommunications Supervisor develops/directs schedules, program plan, and projection for at a represented staff at Goddard Space Flight Center. The Supervisor will analyze changes in scheduling impact and provide risk assessments to determine the schedules viability. The Supervisor functions include directing, recruiting, hiring, scheduling, managing time-off requests, managing performance, and addressing employee concerns. The Supervisor serves the vital role of the primary on-site interface between our technicians, the Program and the NASA customer in accordance with Aetos’ and NASA’s organization’s mission, values and goals in support of the AEGIS contract.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Develop and delivery contractual deliverables as required to the customer on time with the utmost quality
• Utilizes functional area expertise gained through direct industry experience to assess the operational and functional baseline of voice communication product lines, businesses, sites and/or operations
• Approve timecards
• Manage employee schedules
• Develop, coordinate and submit Form A monthly as required
• Serves as the manager or lead over the Voice Communications technical product, customer relationship, major service/project, site, or administrative functions, including employee / labor relations
• Recognized as subject matter expert within depth knowledge of Voice Communications, T1, Communication Transmissions, Dial-up communications and other similar Telcom industry issues and trends

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent managerial skills and ability to evaluate the work of others
• Experience with bargaining unit personnel preferred
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data

Education And Experience

• Minimum of five years of relevant experience
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Power and Word
• AA/AS in Technical Field (Networks, Telecommunications, Voice Communications, other similar field)

Physical Requirements

• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
