Institutional Computing is accepting applications for a Technology


Support Staff l . This is a full-time benefited position located on our main campus in Winchester, Virginia.


The target is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction.


  • Position hours are Monday – Friday, 9 am – 6 pmTechnology is always changing and job assignments may change, so be prepared to work on additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor
  • Go above and beyond to serve others and be a positive influence
  • Work in a Help Desk team environment
  • Develop and oversee the student IT workforce. This includes developing training programs and workshops for students


Required Skills


  • Being reliable and on time, having good interpersonal skills, work ethic, body language, effort, energy, attitude, passion, being coachable, doing extra, and being prepared. Leading by example.
  • Ability to create training systems and effectively train the student workforce.
  • Work with other team members in the Help Desk area.
  • Work effectively with a broad range of customers who have varied levels of familiarity with technology.
  • Solve software and hardware-related problems.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment that can change quickly.
  • General computer knowledge and skills. Mac and iOS experience is a plus. Training will be provided!


Required Experience

College degree preferred.

Previous experience in customer service-related roles.
