THE OPPORTUNITY

The TechInsights Technology and Geopolitical Analyst provides content curation and commentary on the geopolitical and technology compliance landscape in relation to our subscription products. The analyst will leverage TechInsights’ market analysis and reverse engineering content and compliment it with geopolitical commentary to provide customers with the necessary knowledge to support their programs and strategies.

This individual will be credible as a subject matter expert in geopolitical and technology issues and will contribute to the quality and accuracy of the delivery of outputs by other team members. They will also proactively engage with other related areas of interest and participate in relevant cross-domain and cross business unit initiatives.

What You Will Do

• Develop and co-create insights beyond what is publicly available by interacting with colleagues, account teams, and clients to incorporate proprietary knowledge and, where possible, develop proprietary data sets to support your differentiated point of view.
• Participate in client meetings, webinars, seminars, and external events to strengthen TechInsights brand and reputation in the semiconductor market.
• Provide analytical insight and understanding of geopolitics and export compliance as it relates to the semiconductor market.
• Assist in developing a credible internal brand to become recognized as a subject matter expert in geopolitical and technological issues.
• Engage with both product management and product marketing to provide insightful and provocative perspectives.
• Deliver insights through a range of featured content, reports, and blogs, as part of TechInsights’ subscriptions

Who You Are

• Master’s degree considered an asset.
• Minimum of 8 years of direct work experience in:
• Have previous experience writing and editing analytical material.
• Oral and written presentation skills with a proven ability to effectively convey complex concepts in a crisp, clear, concise, and graphic-rich style using appropriate visualization tools.
• Proven ability to build a network of internal and external professionals to help shape and support important insights and a specific point of view.
• The field of geopolitical issues, drivers, and trends, specifically relating to technology and the semiconductor market would be considered an asset.
• Using both qualitative and quantitative research and analysis methodologies to synthesize information, review data, and provide analytical insights.
• Ability to work cross functionally both in person and virtually across business units and geographies, liaising with stakeholders of all levels.
• Bachelor’s degree in international studies, economics, political sciences, or related fields.
• Demonstrable ability to compile individual sources of information into a cohesive“big picture” story.
• Comfortable working both individually and collaboratively in a global, multi-cultural environment.
• Technical understanding of semiconductors and technology considered a strong asset.
