Who we're looking for

We are seeking a technical writer to lead our product documentation efforts in collaboration with our engineering and product management teams. This role offers high visibility and impact, as you will help shape our user experience and guide customers in adopting Wingspan. You will be hands-on with the Wingspan product, create new content, and improve existing documentation for our APIs, features, and integrations with business systems.

Requirements

• You can clearly communicate technical concepts and product capabilities to developers and non-developer audiences
• Highly organized and able to triage and prioritize numerous issues and projects
• Able to quickly iterate and improve
• 4+ years of experience in product and technical writing, with samples of your work to share
• Empathetic, collaborative, and curious
• Must be authorized to work in the United States. At this time we are unable to transfer or sponsor visas

Examples of tasks you might work on

• Continually measure reader engagement and iterate to improve content focus and distribution
• Work alongside our development teams and other stakeholders to ensure expertise in content and accuracy in documentation
• Organize documentation in a cohesive manner to enable better flow and discovery
• Document Wingspan's capabilities, including conceptual overviews, task-based guides, and tutorials
• Ensure consistency in the voice used throughout Wingspan's content

Compensation

• At Wingspan, we pride ourselves on offering a competitive and comprehensive compensation package that reflects our commitment to attracting top talent. The annual base salary for this role ranges from $125,000-$155,000, and is accompanied by a target equity package and an extensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance. All figures cited are in USD and pertain to workers located in the United States.
