Job Description

Hourly Pay: $22-26/ hour

Akkodis is hiring for Technical Support Specialist in Clarksville, TN.


Responsibilities:

  • Occasionally assist with the rollout of large projects.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service at all times.
  • Communicate in layman’s terms complex technology to customers in person and over the phone.
  • Provide break-fix support, such as hardware replacement, operating system reinstalls, virus and malware removal and other hardware maintenance; and users with support for their individual or organization’s computer repair needs
  • Support additional projects across the IT department as required, which may include website design, SharePoint design and management, drafting user communications/how-to-guides, and internal IT documentation.
  • Order, ship, receive, and assign mobile devices to associates.
  • Respond to emails, phone calls, and chats from associates seeking help with software, hardware related issues with computers, mobile phones, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in ticket logs.

Requirements:

  • Aptitude and interest in learning about IT systems in general and processes as must
  • Knowledge/experience working with both Windows PC and Mac OS a plus
  • Must be available to travel domestically (mostly local) on a bi-monthly basis as necessary
  • Excellent communication (both written and spoken) and time management skills
  • Desire to learn basic computer assistance and conference room setups to provide calm, quick support to end users a must
  • Must have demonstrated ability to work independently, a highly motivated self-starter
  • Superior customer service skills, especially working with senior leaders
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize multiple on-going projects
  • Efficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Ability to fill multiple roles simultaneously and problem solve smoothly
  • Requires a Highspeed internet connection when working remotely
