CONTINGENT ON CONTRACT AWARD

The Technical Editor / Writer possesses the technical acumen to develop, review, and edit complex written and technical materials. Ensures compliance with standards of style and format, good usage of English, and overall structure and organization of material. Content expertise includes providing continuing assistance in developing and designing strategies for the implementation and maintenance of recruitment and retention programs for a variety of hard-to-fill health care, professional and technical positions. Such experience shall include, but not limited to:

• Making changes to and improving organization and clarity of existing documentation
• Writing and editing technical articles
• Interpreting and explaining various topics and subject matter issued by leadership
• Desirable to also possess graphic design skills and the ability to design document layout, charts, and graphs to provide visual input to existing documents
• Conveys material in a manner clearly understandable to the intended audience
• Possesses excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements

• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
• Understand the business well enough to create content that will reinforce a consistent and compelling message
• Strong eye for grammatical, spelling, and other editing errors
• Candidate must be able to pass a background chec
• Experience working in the Veterans Administration (VA) is desirable
• Proficiency with word processing and Microsoft Office applications
• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Communications; or in English, Literature, Journalism or other related discipline
