A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TANF CASE MANAGER - EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST

As a TANF Case Manager - Employment Specialist, you meet with program participants to get to know them and develop a service plan known as a Family Contract Amendment (FCA) in order to help them achieve their employment goals. You document progress toward their goals each month and ensure they're clear on program requirements. Your day consists of appointments and follow-up meetings with program participants, as well as rescheduling missed appointments as needed.

By reaching out to external providers in the community, you connect your participants with the services they need. You have our FedcapCARES program as a resource to help you plan and keep on top of your tasks. This full-time position is typically scheduled during regular business hours, with occasional flexibility required to meet the needs of participants. As a newcomer in this position, you have a supportive environment with ample training and ongoing professional development opportunities. You make a great representative of our human services nonprofit with your professional and positive attitude.

WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BE A TANF CASE MANAGER - EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST?

• Bachelor's degree OR higher education and equivalent experience
• Valid driver's license
• Covid-19 vaccination
• Demonstrated track record for providing exceptional customer service

Fluency in Arabic, Portuguese, Somali, French, or Lingala would be a plus! A commitment to Families Forward's core values of compassion, respect, integrity, and innovation is also essential to ensuring that all participants receive the support they need to break the cycle of poverty.
