A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST - JOB COACH
As an entry-level Employment Specialist - Job Coach with our human services nonprofit, your role is centered on cultivating trust with individuals and uncovering what drives them - their capabilities, interests, and strengths. It's akin to being a job matchmaker, where you develop a customized Family Contract Amendment (FCA) to help them achieve their employment goals, both in the near and distant future.
But you're not just a one-time resource. You're invested in each participant's progress, regularly meeting with them to ensure they stay on course. And in case of any missed appointments, you're quick to rearrange and accommodate.
In the realm of vocational rehabilitation and case management, you're a bona fide superhero. You help your participants access external support services, and use data derived from our sophisticated FedcapCARES program to plan and coordinate everything seamlessly.
All in all, you represent our human services nonprofit with consummate professionalism and panache. And what's even more gratifying is that you get to make a tangible impact on our community members' lives, which is an incredibly fulfilling experience.
WORK SCHEDULE
This vocational rehabilitation position normally works Monday through Friday during regular business hours with occasional evening or weekend hours as needed. Expect to be engaged and challenged every day, as you work to make a positive impact on the lives of those you serve.
WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BE A EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST - JOB COACH?

• Bachelor's degree, higher education, or equivalent experience
• Valid driver's license
• Demonstrated track record for providing exceptional customer service

Fluency in Arabic, Portuguese, Somali, French, or Lingala would be awesome! To be successful in this case management job, you need strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to problem-solve and make decisions.
