Since 2004 we have been building a home for the world's most talented dreamers, makers, and doers in a collaborative, ego-free culture that breeds partnership and creative ambition. At our core, we exist to find creative opportunities in every challenge, not just to think, but to make, and ultimately put extraordinary things into the world that inspire people.

:

A Studio Support Specialist at BUCK provides first-line technical support to staff and manages the day-to-day IT needs of the physical facilities. This role requires a blend of technical skills and customer service abilities, as you'll be directly interacting with users and troubleshooting their issues. You will be working closely with Animation Artists and Editors and will be a part of the team implementing and maintaining audio and video calibration standards throughout the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Partnership with Production Leadership: Partner with production leadership to ensure that technology solutions and services support creative content creation and efficiency goals.
  • Infrastructure and Workflow Management: Support all aspects of the company's technology requirements, including operational support, infrastructure maintenance, and post-production workflows.
  • Audio and Video Standards: Implement and maintain audio and video calibration standards throughout the facility.
  • User Support: Assist staff, particularly VFX Artists and Producers, with their IT needs, such as setting up workstations, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and setting up technology in screening, and conference rooms.
  • Escalation Support: Provide escalation support for local and remote teams, as well as for screening, story, and approval rooms.
  • Training and Documentation: Conduct training sessions with technical peers on the deployment of new technologies. Document quality standards, system anomalies, operational procedures, reference materials, and project work in company tools.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of studio equipment.
  • Technology Strategy: Assist in establishing and communicating technology strategies that support the growth of the studio.
  • Partnership with Engineering Teams: Partner closely with internal engineering teams, providing concise reporting of issues and production context to ensure the creative and technical needs of the studios are met.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Possess excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and come up with effective solutions is key.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills; attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively are crucial.
  • Proactive and Positive Attitude: The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proactive attitude. A deep passion for BUCK Design's culture and creative solutions/initiatives, especially as they relate to employee and visitor experience, is essential.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in G-Suite, Microsoft Office, and Slack. Familiarity with the technical aspects of a creative studio, including post-production workflows and equipment, is preferred.
  • Professionalism Under Pressure: Maintain a strong sense of humor and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion + Belonging (DEI+B): Champion our DEI+B efforts across all duties and responsibilities.
  • Administrative Knowledge: Knowledge of administrative and financial management principles is beneficial.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to connect well with people; warm, approachable, excellent communication, and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is desired, preferably within a creative studio or animation environment.
