The Sr. Talent Manager is responsible for managing the recruitment efforts for all areas Dollar General Private Fleet. This role will develop talent acquisition strategies to attract and hire the best in class for all areas of the business. Key responsibilities include creating recruitment strategies, network-wide advertising plans, monitoring selection processes, maintaining hiring analytics, and developing sourcing innovation to ensure efficiency throughout the recruitment process. The Sr. Talent Manager will also facilitate new recruitment initiatives and complete special projects as assigned.


  • Coach hiring managers on recruiting best practices including interviewing and selection.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the all related stakeholders in order to meet talent acquisition goals. Work with appropriate groups to identify and resolve issues.
  • Execute recruitment plans in order to achieve staffing metrics including candidate quality, candidate throughput, and efficient time to offer. Provide status reports on these metrics to include review of open requisition status and candidate throughput
  • Develop individualized sourcing strategies for the functional areas and execute appropriately. Strategies should include cold calling, building networks and maintaining interests with passive candidates.
  • Perform full lifecycle recruiting to include sourcing strategy development with a clear focus on diversity. The successful Senior Recruiter will also assist with the determination of screening criteria and execution of screening, interviewing, and the negotiation of salaries.
  • Coach hiring managers on recruiting best practices including interviewing and selection.


Ensure consistency, efficiency and compliance with federal, state and local laws, and company policies. Ensure all TA activities are compliant with the established sourcing, recruiting, and selection procedures including maintaining appropriate recordkeeping


  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills including strong communication skills.
  • Results driven with the proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Experience conducting full life cycle recruiting
  • Strong sourcing background with experience filling roles at the exempt level
  • Ability to develop relationships and effectively influence with key stakeholders and candidates
  • Sound interview and evaluation skills


Ability to achieve measurable results through collaboration and influence


  • Proven track record of progressive HR leadership within an organization
  • Five plus years of full life cycle recruiting across multiple locations
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills including strong communication skills
  • Ability to develop relationships and effectively influence with key stakeholders and candidates
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong sourcing background with experience filling exempt roles
