Systems Administrator Jobs

As a Systems Administrator, you’ll support the organization's technology and process transformation through work in daily IT Operations, research of emerging technologies and processes, and supporting transition and delivery of new solutions, with the goal to make an impact across the federal government. Internal supports all personnel across the organization and beyond to ensure personnel have the tools and information needed to perform their duties

What you’ll do:

• Learn and execute industry best practices in support of the organization's many quality service, security, and environmental certifications.
• Execute system change requests as well has system health and security checks.
• Meet with IT Operations and other teams daily to collaborate and tackle challenges.
• Support Microsoft Cloud, however other cloud and on-premise systems will be supported as well.
• Coordinate with other departments in support of their business unit systems to ensure quality and secure operations, and capture emerging needs.
• Support projects through research and testing of new technologies and processes and analysis of how best practices can be integrated into operations.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• A Secret level security clearance, or the ability to obtain.
• Eagerness to learn and ability to be a self Starter.
• On Premise Server Management via VMware Hypervisor and Windows Server
• Microsoft Cloud to include but not limited to Office 365 Administration, Active Directory (Azure or On-Premise), Exchange, Intune.
• Knowledge of Operating System fundamentals to include bare-metal installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Communication skills and ability to interface with technical and non-technical staff.
• Ability to take initiative to identify and resolve technology or process issues.
• The ability to diagnose workstation hardware, accessory and software issues and implement a solution.An understanding of ticket systems, escalation, and how to triage incidents and requests.
• Network Firewall Access Control, IP Routing, & VPN Tunnels, Switch VLANs.
• 3-7 Years experience supporting Access & Identity Management, Vulnerability Review & Remediation, Solution Research and Design, Incident Response, Asset and Inventory Management.
• Veeam or Similar Enterprise Backup Solution.
• A bachelor's degree in an IT related field OR at a minimum, an associate degree (IT related degree) while actively working towards obtaining a bachelor's degree.
• Interest in keeping up with the latest technologies.
• 3-7 years of experience Administering the following Technologies:
