Our team is what makes Octo great. At Octo you'll work beside some of the smartest and most accomplished staff you'll find in your career. Excellent documentation skills are a must, as the main objective of this project will be systems documentation, configuration management and finding and tagging EOL server devices across the VA environment.

Us...

We were founded as a fresh alternative in the Government Consulting Community and are dedicated to the belief that results are a product of analytical thinking, agile design principles and that solutions are built in collaboration with, not for, our customers. This mantra drives us to succeed and act as true partners in advancing our client’s missions.

Program Mission...

The primary purpose of this project is to follow the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Technical Reference Model (TRM) guidance for approved Windows and Linux operating systems on the VA network and either upgrade or decommission systems. A secondary goal is to eliminate stand-alone servers (physical) across the entire enterprise, restore life-cycle constraints, virtualize as much as possible, and identify, document, and track these stand-alone server assets for better surveillance, management, and alignment to the enterprise strategic plan. Primary success criteria will be decommissioning or upgrading all “EOL” systems and/or virtualizing the systems that can be.
