Switchboard Operator – Afternoon Hours


If you have experience working with a switchboard and are looking to start a new position as soon as possible please submit your resume to this posting. We have partnered with an elderly home located in Chelsea that is urgently looking to fill this opening. This is a 24/7 facility and this opening is for their evening shift (11am – 7pm), it is a 40 hour/week role with some weekend coverage. This is an important role at the home and the new hire will be working closely with the supervisors.


Paid training will be provided.


Free parking.


Responsibilities Includes


  • Answering all inbound calls to the facility and routing outbound calls to the appropriate person
  • Overall maintaining of the facilities switchboard and have a working knowledge of the calling codes
  • Maintaining information of current residents
  • Responding to any emergency calls and reporting any urgent emergencies to the appropriate service


Qualifications


  • Must have a friendly phone presence and clear verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with a switchboard or multi-line phone system
  • Having a calm presence in case emergency situations with the residents arise
  • Must be flexible to work evening shifts and being available for weekend coverage
