The Supply Planning Manager is responsible for the strategic and tactical planning of the self-manufacturing and labeling for a specific strategic business unit (SBU). Acting as an owner of finished goods inventories, the Supply Planning Manager works to achieve both customer service and other Del Monte business objectives. Interacting with the cross functional team (including Customer Service, Sales, Demand Planning, Marketing, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Logistics, DC’s, Finance and Co-Packers) the Supply Planning Manager anticipates/identifies/resolves potential supply issues for products they manage.

The salary range for this position is: $79,352 - $134,888

Position Function And Scope

• Generate production plans that balance supply demand through the planning horizon.
• Communicate pack dates and finished goods availability dates to Sales, Customer Service, and other impacted parties.
• Coordinate production of special pack configurations (i.e., Display Ready Units).
• Maintain seasonal inventory targets within APO.
• Own and drive ongoing production/purchase plans engaging functional team as needed to balance supply/demand at the raw product level down to the line level within production facilities.
• Monitor adherence to plan, and work with plants/vendors to resolve issues that arise.
• Help establish/maintain MRP/SAP planning parameters/master data to continuously improve and optimize planning system to ensure production plans meet customer requirements at the lowest possible cost.
• Production Planning (developing production and labeling plans for self-produced items in a strategic business unit)
• Identify potential supply gaps and proactively engage the supply chain and Commercial teams in finding solves and communicating latest supply outlooks.

• For all projected surplus and short items, help lead cross functional efforts to develop solves to get back in supply/demand balance through the appropriate planning horizon.
• Report WOS inventory outlooks for continuous packed items highlighting projected surplus and shorts over the planning horizon.
• Inventory Management (maintaining appropriate inventory levels throughout the network)
• Report WOS inventory outlooks for seasonal item responsible highlighting projected surplus and shorts over the planning horizon.
• Report projected aged and obsolete inventory.

• For all new product seasonal pack launches, work collaboratively with the cross functional team as the key supply chain resource in planning for and supporting of new item launches into the Marketplace.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business or Logistics Management.
• Ability to work under significant pressure, addressing simultaneous responsibilities and deadlines with minimal guidance.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, ability to establish and maintain professional relationships.
• Lean principles a plus
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and drive corrective actions/continuous improvement efforts.
• Talent for data mining and analysis.
• Consumer products, grocery, or mass merchandising experience a plus. CPG experience highly desired
• Minimum 5 years of related experience. 3-5 years of production planning experience with responsibility of supply demand balancing and inventory management for a portfolio of SKU’s.
• APICS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with SAP APO and Anaplan highly desired.
• Strong verbal, written and comprehension communication skills.
