Job Description

Our client, a health and wellness online retailer, is actively looking for a Supply Planner to join their team! This role is remote but candidates must work PST hours.


***This is a 3 month initial contract with the opportunity for extension***


This Supply Planner will be responsible for developing, executing, monitoring, and managing the execution of the supply plan for assigned goods. This person will partner with Marketing, Operations, Supply Planning and Purchasing to drive efficient inventory levels. Additionally, this person will be tasked with applying internal forecast data, historical sales, system parameters, and other inputs and insights to purchase and manage supply plans required to support corporate goals and objectives!


Responsibilities

  • Establish, monitor, and manage supplier delivery plans to achieve desired service levels, minimize stock-outs, working capital expense and delivery costs
  • Provide actionable analysis and reporting to collaborators of the Planning team’s KPI results
  • Review and analyze demand history and business inputs to develop an executable procurement plan in support of strategic objectives
  • Create and execute purchases and perform purchase order maintenance using an ERP system
  • Partner with the Demand Planning team to maximize sales opportunities and evaluate forecast accuracy
  • Manage and enforce supplier compliance requirements
  • Work close with the Data Management team to ensure system integrity of supply chain parameters
  • Execute strategic procurement plan using demand plan output, inventory, and system metrics in support of strategic business objectives
  • Collaborate and meet regularly with suppliers
  • Support the division’s sales and marketing programs, rebate commitments and initiatives to ensure adequate inventory is planned and available to support product launch, business initiatives, promotions, and events
  • Manage product flow for maximum inventory efficiency based on suppler capabilities
  • Monitor and report on important changes in the supplier availability related to forecasts


Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of professional experience in a Supply Planning or Supply Chain focused role, ideally within an ecommerce environment
  • Functional knowledge of planning, forecasting, purchasing execution and supplier relationship management, along with related supply chain areas
  • Strong experience with Excel and Google Office Suite
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field (or equivalent years of work experience)
  • Experience using an ERP system is preferred
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
