Job Description

THIS IS NOT A ROLE WITH FORCEBRANDS


Job Summary:

As the Demand Planner, you will plan the production schedule with our co-packers to

support customer orders, forecast demand and stock requirements. You will monitor

order completion and material delivery to meet customer ship dates and targeted On-

Time service levels and provide timely feedback to Inventory Control, Customer Service,

QC, Purchasing and Logistics. You will also maintain data within ERP system to provide

timely and accurate information and be responsible for determining overall inventory

levels based on company sales forecast and new demand.


Working location:

Closter NJ.- Hybrid 4x/week


Reports to:

Sr Director of Supply Chain


Duties and Responsibilities


 Responsible for development and maintenance of supply plan of finished goods,

considering shelf-life expiration, while balancing network demands with supply

capabilities to maintain target stock levels and support on time shipments to

customers.

 Develop production & inventory plans to meet finished goods demand via internal &

co-pack operations network.

 Daily management and problem-solving of supply and inventory plan variances,

including unexpected demand, to ensure appropriate communication and actions

with customer service, sales planning, marketing, operations and the customers as

appropriate.

 Track and monitor raw material orders and deliveries to co-packers.

 Generate supply plans on a regular basis and communicate potential inventory or

customer service gaps or risks to cross functional partners.

 Establish and maintain relationships with co-packers and suppliers.

 Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of material through the production cycle,

including co packer schedules.

 Build relationships with copackers and manage their performance. Conduct routine

business reviews, evaluating copacker performance and compliance. Work with

copacker on quality issues and timely resolution.


 Determine daily and weekly production requirements. Communicate future

inventory plans and weekly action with key production personnel.

 Proactively identify supply constraints and propose solutions.

 Work with the procurement, logistics and IT departments to enhance service

delivery.

 Evaluate slow moving materials and excess inventories and recommend and

implement corrective action plan.



MUST have:

 Knowledge and experience in MRP and demand planning using SAP /ERP systems.

 Background in master scheduling, forecasting, procurement, and planning working

with Co-packers.

 Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply chain and/ or Logistics and/or 5-8 years

combined experience in: Demand planning, manufacturing.

 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively engage

others as necessary to resolve issues required.

 Strong communication and organization skills required.

 Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.


Preferred:

 Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with a high commitment to meeting

schedules.

 Demonstrated ability to analyze, trouble-shoot, problem solve and resolve complex

issues required.

 Demonstrated ability to manage projects and/or process improvement initiatives

with cross functional teams using honed influencing & leadership skills required.

 Effective written and verbal communication of data-driven solutions across all

levels of the organization

 Ability to multi-task across different projects/tasks.
