Supply Chain Manager


Responsibilities


You will report to the Director of Operations and are responsible for managing all aspects of orders, purchasing and materials flow including order administration, procurement, supply chain planning, materials, trade compliance, packaging and warehouse shipping and receiving to ensure that all customer orders are delivered on time.


The primary objective for this position will be developing a supply chain to production that enables world class levels of delivery and quality performance. Also included in scope will be the development of value stream strategies and implementing best practices in the disciplines of inventory management, forecasting, production planning, procurement and supply chain management, in collaboration with Liquid Analysis headquarters.


Essential Responsibilities


  • Coordinate logistic operations with corporate programs, ensuring high levels of customer service.
  • Maintain planning metrics and identify process improvement for demand and schedule stability to improve on-time delivery for production to meet customer expectations.
  • Manage, support, and nurture the development, growth, and success of staff.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness targets are achieved.
  • Develop and maintain a strong trade compliance program.
  • Ensure the order management process delivers excellent customer service and communication.
  • Lead use of the SAP ERP system for supply chain planning, developing stronger processes aligned with other parts of Liquid Analysis and our Organization.
  • Responsible for all material handling disciplines inclusive of receiving, stock transfer, stock control and management, and shipping.
  • Optimize costs through effective use of tools and strategic sourcing processes while meeting engineering, quality, and product management specifications and requirements.
  • Plan, Organize and Direct the Purchasing/Supply Chain Management program for our Anaheim Headquarters, working closing with colleagues in Germany and China for a robust and effective global program.
  • Support materials compliance, corporate social responsibility, and other corporate programs.
  • Work with sales and production managers to collect all forecasts and customer demands and utilize this information to develop supplier forecasts and plan deliveries.


Required Education/Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or a Technical Field.
  • Strong knowledge and proven ability to lead ERP use, with SAP preferred. Must know all aspects of ERP use from order entry through supply chain and planning, production and then shipping.
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years progressive experience in Production Planning and Management of Materials and Sourcing within a dynamic and changing design and manufacturing environment.


Must have high level knowledge of forecasting and planning systems and MRP concepts required to fully utilize material planning MRP tools.


Must have a high-level knowledge of lean manufacturing, MRP tools and JIT principles and be able to apply them in appropriate situations.


Proven ability to lead procurement strategy and build strong relationships with suppliers.


Demonstrated strength in the planning and forecasting of materials and production.


Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff and all of production team.


Ability to travel (no more than 15%).


Possess strong negotiating skills and ability to sustain networking relationships.


Strong project management and leadership skills.
