Job Summary


The Supply Chain Manager ensures all finished goods and non-cannabis production inventory is properly received, documented, tracked, and managed. The Supply Chain Manager will oversee and validate all systems in ERP. This role will work closely with other departments, including Production, Accounting, and Procurement to ensure their business needs are met when it comes to timely and accurate system transactions, inventory accuracy, and ledger reconciliations for all finished goods and non-cannabis production materials.


Duties/Responsibilities


  • Provide assistance with ledger reconciliations for the accounting department
  • Implement and maintain a system of internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in ledger reconciliations for the accounting department
  • Analyze production waste and trends to optimize inventory health and minimize overconsumption
  • Monitor and create KPI reports that track inventory accuracy. Report to management on the status of KPI performance against targets and suggest corrective actions if needed
  • Routinely conduct cycle counts and full inventory audits across departments and properly document all inventory movement
  • Ensure that inventory is accurately recorded in Microsoft Business Central and that all transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Review stock item master, identifying incorrect descriptions and stock numbers.
  • Other responsibilities may be required based on business
  • Serve as subject matter expert on warehouse management software relating to all inventory aspects of ERP system and actively work to improve the functionality of ERP processes related to area of ownership
  • Communicates with Purchasing Department as needed regarding new items, inventory use trends, and levels
  • Lead the material handlers in daily activities, including cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and inventory adjustments.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory and report inventory across departments weekly
  • Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, inventory turnover, and other key performance indicators
  • Abide by all Company operating policies
  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring, training, and terminating processes as needed
  • Develop and maintain SOPs
  • Review open warehouse put-aways, receipts, and inventory movements daily to ensure transactions are being completed before the product is moved
  • Manage and supervise employees, including, training, and performance evaluation
  • Build inventory processes and systems to provide better support to operational departments including recurring and ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Regularly review production inventory through WIP bins and ensure waste adjustments are made on a weekly basis
  • Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems
  • Partner with Production leadership as needed to ensure transactions are being made in when physical product moves
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and policies to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory control best practices and procedures.
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions


Education And Experience


  • At least 5 years of experience in inventory control management
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
