Job Description


      Position Summary:
      Provides supervision of the daily operation of department requiring registered nursing expertise, assuring goals and objectives are obtained through the planning, implementing and directing of programs, procedures, systems and support personnel. Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet policy.

      Graduate from a course of study in nursing resulting in an associate degree, diploma or baccalaureate degree and at least one year related supervisory or three years related non-supervisory experience required.

      Current state Registered Nursing License required and BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.

      Additional Information:

      This position is a full time, on site position with day time hours in Internal Medicine with a great leadership team. This position reports to the Clinic Manager and partners closely with the Clinic Manager, Operations Supervisor and Clinic Medical director on the daily operations of the clinic, including creating a positive, supportive and collaborative culture. Internal Medicine is large department with 19 clinicians, 27 total team members and care for patients ages 18 and older. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to lead our clinicial support and triage teams and directly contribute to the obgoing success of the clinic.

      This roles repsonsibilities include:

      • Supports patients with resolution of concerns and facilitating a positive outcome. Serve as a resource to staff and community.
      • Hiring and onboarding new team members, monitors staff competency training and development.
      • Supervising daily nursing clinic operations and including 15 direct reports with oversite of standard rooming of patients, triage and inbasket management while developing talent, managing performance and ensuring stewarship of resources
      • Participates in Primary Care quality and process improvement initiatives, department projects, skills fair and other educational opporunities that will improve patient care and outcomes.
      • Communicates downstream organizational and departmental nursing related content.
      • Provides opportunity to build rapport and communicate regularly with colleagues, care team members and clinicians while maintaining a focus on employee well-being, engagement and teamwork.
