Supervisor, Nursing Jobs

The Nursing Supervisor will work directly with the Director of Nursing to oversee and supervise clinical and operational services in the nursing department. Responsibilities can include the selection, scheduling and performance monitoring of a staff of 50+ RNs, LPNs, MAs, PHA, Pharmacy Technicians, Health Education Specialist, and all other Nursing Department staff. The Supervisor will have direct oversight of all new LPNs and MAs until they are assigned to a team, adolescent patient education department, and the Health Education Specialist and Americorps program staff. The Supervisor will support the Nursing Director in the development and oversight of Nursing Department protocols, policies, procedures and standards of care. Additionally, the manager will support general clinic operations by participating in various operations meetings and initiatives.

• New York State Registered Nurse Licensure required.
• Experience working with complex chronic disease management preferred.
• Strong Computer competency including Microsoft Office Suite, (Word, Excel, and Outlook), required.
• Bilingual applicants preferred.
• Two Years experience in an out-patient clinical setting preferred.
• Experience serving Callen-Lordes target LGBT populations preferred.
• Experience in working within a multidisciplinary team preferred.
• Current BCLS Certification required.
