Nursing Clinical Analyst - Nursing Informatics

• Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.

You Will:

• Lead aspects of nursing-related activities of Clinical System implementation projects to meet timelines.
• Apply insights and a variety of analytical techniques to conceive process improvements and develop effective solutions to operational issues.
• Develop informatics competencies and assist in the coordination of training activities which ensure competency assessment.
• Utilize theoretical systems frameworks during all phases of the systems development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with clinical, technical, administrative, and informatics staff in planning, designing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and evaluating clinical information systems as they relate to nursing and other clinical users.
• Work collaboratively in the design, testing, and implementation of clinical information systems.
• Work in the capacity of a "clinical system expert".
• Coordinate implementation, ongoing operation and support, upgrades, enhancements, interfaces, and integration with existing and new systems.
• Engage in quality control and facilitate organizational change.
• Develop procedures/workflows that document current and proposed processes.
• Provide specifications for the preparation and design of ad hoc reports to meet internal and external reporting needs.

You Have:

• New York State RN license
• A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience is required (preferably in critical care)
• Master’s in Nursing Informatics or related designation with an understanding of systems design and implementation
• Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN)
• ANCC Informatics certification preferred but not immediately required (must be able to obtain)
