Supervisor, Intake Specialist Jobs

Position Purpose: Supervise the day to day operations of the intake area; with direct supervision to the Intake Specialists

• Ensure deliverables reported to the State entity occurs within established time frames
• Audit reporting related to authorizations, correspondence and clinical record-keeping to ensure compliance with department procedure
• Facilitate ongoing process meetings with external partners and stakeholders
• Respond to State inquiries in a timely manner per department procedure
• Supervise day to day activities of the Intake Specialists including work flow, training, hiring, etc.
• Implement work processes ensuring establishment of and continuity of services for Members through the assessment process
• Reconcile standardized reports in a timely manner per department procedure
• Review and process assessment letters, maintain logs, and coordinate decisions to external or internal personnel per plan procedures
• Address Member complaints utilizing established procedure
• Assist subcontractors, Members and/or internal customers with cases pertaining to referral and assessment questions, issues and authorizations

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 3+ years of referral and authorization, intake, customer service, claims processing or provider relations experience preferably in a managed care setting. Strong proficiency in MS office applications, esp. Excel. Familiar with clinical record systems (i.e. CCMS) and claims systems (i.e. Amisys and MACESS). Previous experience as a lead in a functional area or managing cross functional teams on large scale projects.

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Pay Range: $52,900.00 - $95,200.00 per year
