  • This position is based onsite with required flexibility for travel of up to several weeks at a time and to Chattanooga Office Complex as needed.**


POSITION PURPOSE


Responsible for leading Outage Services personnel in the planning, preparation, execution, and demobilization for fleet refueling outages, dry cask campaigns, fuel handling equipment maintenance and other assigned work.


JOB DIMENSIONS


Supervisory Responsibility — Responsible for oversight of 10 to 30 Outage Services personnel at all times based on assigned area of responsibility. During outages this individual is responsible for up to 100 personnel in the execution of outage requirements.


Budget Responsibility — As applicable


Principal Accountabilities


  • Interfaces with site and fleet personnel to coordinate work activities.
  • Ensure that Outage Services Team is working effectively and efficiently with vendors or Alliance Partners.
  • Provides reviewer functions for procedures related to refueling and equipment maintenance.
  • Capture learnings, delays, and gaps in performance using the Corrective Action Program at low levels.
  • Fosters development of assigned Outage Services Technicians and Supervisors.
  • Ensures high standards and technical proficiency are developed and maintained.
  • Responsible for leading the preparation and execution of refueling activities, dry cask campaigns, and other assigned work.
  • Develops and maintains Outage Services playbooks for services provided.
  • Coordinates with vendors to learn and improve TVA Outage Services,
  • Supports work management T week meetings as needed to ensure refueling pre outage and outage related activities remain in the scheduled weeks, resource loaded correctly with the appropriate support groups.


Minimum Requirements


Education Bachelor degree in a science or engineering subject or the equivalent or equivalent training and experience.


Experience Eight years of experience in the nuclear industry including five years in a supervisory role. Previous experience in Project Management and Training Program Oversight desired . Background in nuclear reactor disassembly / reassembly and dry cask storage maintenance activities desired.


Certification/License, etc. SRO, RO, or SRO certification desired.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Knowledge of nuclear plant outage management standards. Must have demonstrated successful leadership skills. Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted nuclear plant access. Candidate may be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance based on position / access requirements and essential job functions. Must be able to travel 25 to 35 percent of the time in support of the TVA fleet.
