Sub Mail Carrier Jobs

Who are we?

Averie Logistics has been providing contract delivery service for the United States Postal Service (USPS) since 2022. We are currently seeking applications for a part time sub-contractor for our route in the Folsom, LA post office. Part time is considered 2 days a week at this time.
A contract mail carrier is also known as a highway contractor (HCR). You are a contract employee with USPS who delivers mail and parcels to rural areas.

Duties

Our carriers travel on an assigned and sequenced route to deliver mail, parcels and Amazon packages. Carriers also obtain signatures and collect outgoing mail. We deliver regardless of weather conditions. Other duties and administration responsibilities will include sorting the mail and packages in sequence, loading the mail into vehicle in order of the sequence, sign and receive accountable mail, collect money from customers for stamps, etc.

Work experience

No prior work experience is needed, but preferred. We offer on the job training!

Skills

• Precise, follow directions and regulations
• Must be reliable
• Lift 70 pounds
• Good customer service and communication
• Ability to pay attention to detail
• Clean driving record, good driving skills

Qualifications

• Satisfactory driving record
• Must be able to pass 4 panel drug test
• 21 years of age
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Reliable
• Local to the area (preferred)
• Reliable transportation to/from post office
• Valid drivers license
• Lift up to 70 pounds

Schedule

7:30 a.m to 2:15 p.m (or until route is completed, could be earlier depending on the efficacy and speed of the carrier). Government holidays are observed.
Note: Position May lead to full-time position.
