The Employment Development Department (EDD) is looking for a highly motivated and qualified individual to work in a learning capacity and under close supervision of the Information Technology (IT) Supervisor II. The Student Assistant will assist the Asset Management team by performing asset management activities to ensure compliance with Information Technology Asset Management's policies and procedures. In addition, the Student Assistant may assist the unit leads with the development and maintenance of Department-wide IT policies, procedures, and standards that provide governance framework. Procedures may be developed and referenced that provide guidance and directions for following IT policies.
This position is headquartered in Sacramento, California and may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee
Position is located at EDD's headquarters office at 800 Capitol Mall, Sacramento, California.

Special Requirements
Students in this position may work up to 1,500 hours in a 12 consecutive month period.
Students must have the ability to read and write at a level necessary to document activities.
Students who are currently enrolled at an accredited college or university, may apply for this position. Copies of your transcript(s) will be required prior to employment and after completion of each semester thereafter.
The Student must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student, carrying a minimum of six (6) semester units, or nine (9) quarter units, possess a minimum 2.0 GPA, with a course of study related to Information Technology, Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
