Job Description

Job Summary

This position works in conjunction with the Director of Student Life & Diversity in the day-to-day operations of the Office of Student Life & Diversity to ensure that accurate, timely and complete information is relayed to all students, staff, faculty and outside vendors. This position also oversees the successful execution of campus and student association programming efforts through event planning and execution, supervising student employees and the ability to deal with the challenges of an extremely busy, diverse environment. The individual in this position is also responsible for co-advising Student Senate and traveling with them to LEAD MN conferences. All employees of Saint Paul College are responsible for promoting a culture that supports diversity and inclusion in all forms as well as providing excellent customer service continuously to all internal and external contacts.

Minimum Qualifications

The following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position.   • Experience using computers and software in a Windows environment;
  • Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, religious, gender identity, sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of college students, staff, and faculty;
  • Ability to track data in an organized and accurate manner, and report that data.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills sufficient to participate in discussions and communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel;
  • 2 years of experience working with diverse populations on a college campus;
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (education, student personnel, counseling, leisure activities, nonprofit management, program/volunteer management, etc.);

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a Student Life & Diversity setting on a college campus;
  • Knowledge of event planning and management;
  • Previous experience managing or working with large budgets;
  • Knowledge of conflict resolution skills.
  • Master’s Degree preferred in a relevant field (higher education, student personnel, counseling, leisure activities, nonprofit management, program/volunteer management, etc.);

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $44,746.00 - $64,728.00 per year
