Summary


The Store Strategy and Experience Project Specialist will support the development and execution of the brick and mortar strategy. They will lead aspects of new store opening, remodels and consumer experience projects to ensure flawless execution. This role will effectively coordinate with partners (internal and external) to ensure all projects are completed on time and on budget. In addition, this role will support the execution of Carhartt’s consumer experience journey within our retail stores.

Responsibilities


  • Coordinate project activities across all internal teams including but not limited to, finance, legal, planning, merchandising, marketing and operations. This is inclusive of management of tasks, deliverables, milestones, schedules and leading weekly communication activities (calls and emails) to review project timelines and deliverables status
  • Create and manage project plans for new retail store openings and remodels. Evaluate for efficiencies and continuous refinement and improvements.
  • Facilitate the efficient handover of the location to NSO/Remodel teams while providing support during the project to ensure teams are completing tasks on time and to expectation.
  • Act as direct point of contact with each mall location. Confirm all operational specifics of each NSO, including operating hours, garbage/waste process post open, dumpster location/set for opening timeframe, property manager introductions and other site-specific details.
  • Coordinate training timelines with store teams, HR partners and D2C training specialist for all projects
  • Update and maintain all process documentation for projects
  • Support the development and implementation of retail consumer facing projects
  • Coordinate all administrative activities for new store openings and remodels. This includes creation of capex PO’s for project invoices, track spend and budget and legal documents coordination
  • Complete orders for all buy out items for each project (office supplies, merchandising supplies, third party fixtures)


Education


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required


Required Skills And Experience


  • Demonstrated knowledge of retail functionality, space planning & fixture and capacity planning
  • 5+ years in store operations or real estate development role
  • Deadline oriented and completes tasks, assignments or projects in a timely manner
  • Strong analytical, prioritization, vendor management and negotiations skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management, planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret design drawings and construction plans
