Sterile Processing Tech (Spd) New Hire Retention Incentive Eligible

Join our team as a Sterile Processing Tech where you will be responsible for the cleaning, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of medical instruments, equipment, and supplies used for patient care. Cleans and disinfects equipment requiring decontamination or sterilization according to designated principles of asepsis. Responsible for testing and recording of sterilizer equipment performance to ensure operating within sterility standards. Maintains established control systems for supplies and equipment processed.

This is a full time position with 8 hour varied day shifts.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met

• Must remain in original department/specialty
• Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.
• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
• Must remain in original Job Title

Required Experience/Specialized Skills:

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or CBSPD Certification
• Knowledge of sterilizers, surgical instrumentation, and medical equipment.
• Completion of college training program for SPD or online study program or completion of formal on the job training program.
• 1 year of experience in SPD in lieu of certification but cert must be obtained within 6 months of hire date

Preferred:

• 2 years or more experience
