State Administrative Manager 15 Jobs

This position is responsible for planning, directing and managing staff of the Office of Continuous Improvement and Engagement. The Office provides department wide expertise in providing Continuous Improvement (CI), Lean Process improvements (LPI) and Lean Do It Yourself (DIY) Business Process Review and Improvement (BPRI) services. The position will interact with other agencies engaged in these activities. The manager will work with all bureaus within Treasury on idea generation, scoping, planning, facilitating sessions, monitoring implementation plan and follow up support. The Office also provides support to the Strategic Plan executive owner including managing initiatives such as employee development and monitoring employee engagement program metrics. The Office will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on department wide scorecards. The position participates in formulating current and long-range plans that facilitate Office goals and mission and providing managerial direction and planning to Office staff.

Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
Note: Experience is considered professional if the job requires a bachelor's degree.

Education level typically acquired through completion of high school and two years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 14 level; or, one year of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 15 level, may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.

This position is eligible to work remotely on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and must work onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Selected candidate must have a safe and appropriate designated workspace or workstation for performance of work and secure and sufficient internet access of commercial cable or wireless broadband with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
Work must be performed in the state of Michigan. If you currently reside outside of Michigan, you must relocate to Michigan to perform the duties of this position. Relocation expenses are not reimbursed.
The Michigan Department of Treasury participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.

Vacation and Sick Leave: Eligible full-time employees receive between 15 and 35 personal days and 13 sick days per year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.

Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leave immediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.

Paid Holidays: Eligible employees receive 13 or 14 paid holidays each year including New Year’s Eve and Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Election Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve and Day.
