Responsibilities

• Assist the Staff Development Nursing in tracking completion of orientation schedules and competency check lists for new hires and files in personnel files.
• Process time-off requests for NAC's and develop monthly schedule.
• Provide direct resident care as assigned.
• Maintain a current listing of employee contact numbers to be utilized for finding replacement staff for call offs.
• All other duties requested by DNS, RCM or Staff Development.
• Maintain records of employees who call-off for scheduled shifts and report to RCM.
• Assist new employees in following established facility policies and procedures.
• Notify Director of Nursing of short staffing situations; and contact replacement personnel and modify schedule when required.
• Coordinate with the Director of Nursing to utilize contract/agency labor as necessary.
• Delegated by DNS to assist in the data entry and approval of PTO requests, missed punches, and payroll time sheets approval.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree
• Nursing Assistant Certification in Washington
• CPR certification
