Staff Accountant - Oil And Gas - $75K - $85K + 15% Bonus - Dallas

• Position pays $75k - $85,000 + 15% bonus

• Oil and Gas is highly preferred
• Degree is nice but not necessary
• Early Friday's year round
• 3-5 years of experience

Expected Responsibilities:

• Reconcile payments made by credit card, ACH, etc.
• Reconcile vendor statements
• Train users on new processes and forms
• Implement process improvements
• Provide constructive feedback and administer yearly staff reviews
• Run AP aging & select invoices to pay
• Research & correct invoice and payment exceptions
• Process reclasses (GL account allocations)
• Facilitate online payments through vendor websites or portals
• Accounting, reconciliations, month end close, and overflow G/L
• Act as the liaison between Accounting, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable

Qualifications:

• Thorough knowledge and experience in AP business processes, systems and controls
• A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of related experience strongly preferred.
• Responsive, motivated self-starter who takes initiative and ownership of assigned tasks driving to completion.
• Skilled in Excel (Pivots & formulas) and other Microsoft Office applications
• Bachelor’s degree Preferred - or relevant experience.
• Extensive knowledge of AP leading practices including vendor management, invoice processing and payment.
• Strong written and verbal communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels inside and outside of the organization
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Experience with Concur and/or Financial Force (Sales Force) a plus
• Strong people skills to manage and develop staff
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Flexibility in this role is key (not traditional AP work)
