Staff Accountant Jobs

We are a local builder seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. In this entry-level position, you will be primarily responsible for managing accounts payable in residential construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing monthly bank reconciliations
• General ledger accounting and journal entries
• Maintain business relationships with vendors
• Reconciling vendor accounts and communicating discrepancies
• Receive, review and process a high volume of invoices from subcontractors and suppliers
• Ensure that invoices are coded properly and approved, then prepare and schedule for payment

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred. Or business related degree with accounting experience
• Familiarity with accounting information systems
• Experience in construction industry accounting practices is a plus
• Basic accounting knowledge required
• Strong organizational, time management and communication skills
