Job Description
Facet is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. As Staff Accountant, you will play an essential role in maintaining the financial records and transactions of Facet while working closely with the Finance & Accounting team and other internal stakeholders to ensure the financial health of the Company through timely and accurate financial reporting. You will have a strong attention to detail and a dedication to process improvement. Responsibilities


  • Assist in the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring that all transactions are recorded timely and accurately
  • Assist in various ad hoc projects as needed
  • Conduct regular bank and credit card statement reconciliations and ensure that all cash transactions are recorded timely and accurately
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information
  • Participate in the annual audit process, including the preparation of audit schedules, liaising with external auditors, and implementing audit recommendations.
  • Perform daily accounting activities including the processing of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring that all vendor payments and customer receipts are processed in a timely manner
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and producing financial statements
  • Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely manner
  • Assist in the design, implementation and operation of internal controls through the development or enhancement of processes and procedures


Requirements


  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience working with accounting software, preferably NetSuite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of US accounting principles and practices
  • CPA certification (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • 1-2+ years experience working in a public accounting role (Big 4, preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and with cross-functional teams
