Job Description

Bridger Photonics, Inc. (Bridger) creates and deploys innovative LiDAR sensors for the Oil & Gas and Industrial Manufacturing industries. Our airborne LiDAR sensors are transforming the way the Oil & Gas industry discovers and manages natural gas (methane) leaks. This opportunity is resulting in significant and rapid growth for our company.


To assist in our growth, we seek an outstanding and motivated Accounting and Payroll Specialist. The successful candidate will work closely with our Director of Finance and will be responsible for managing and processing all payroll-related activities, benefits, and PTO reconciliation, ensuring accurate and timely financial records, and managing the accounts receivable process. The candidate will also be responsible for preparing financial reports, conducting financial analysis, and providing support to the accounting team.


Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the accounts receivable process, including creating and sending invoices, recording payments, and following up on past due accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Support company event planning and execution
  • Prepare and process invoices, bills, and expense reports.
  • Ability to backup departments other operations
  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other reports for management, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage and process payroll activities, including reviewing and verifying employee time cards, calculating wages, and ensuring payroll compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Benefits and PTO reconciliation
  • Maintain accurate financial records by reconciling bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial statements.


Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to determine work priorities and accomplish goals within limited periods of time while under pressure
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Ability to plan, organize and oversee very detail oriented activities
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local payroll laws and regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to stay current on trends and developments in accounting regulations
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or related degree
  • Ability to represent Bridger Photonics in a professional and courteous manner at all times
  • >2 years in accounting and payroll
  • Ability to analyze and interpret accounting records

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Moderate to advanced Excel skills are required – pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX & MATCH, IFS, and SUMIF Query/SQL experience helpful but not required.
  • Highly organized, and have proven success with accounting operations.
  • Show strong initiative, critical thinking, and have a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Experience with payroll systems (Paylocity or other systems).
