Job Description
Overview:
We are opening up a new position within the growing Big Sky Resort to work directly for the Accounting Controller and help support the accounting team including the areas of Home Owners Association bookkeeping, Accounts Receivable, bank account reconciliation, liquor license accounting, and Owner Commission management. A diverse job with opportunity to work with many departments, the resort’s management team, guests and home owners.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage Big Sky Resort journal entries and reconcile accounts for the monthly and annual financials
  • Help in development and distribution of reports for management
  • Participate in preparation for the Big Sky Resort annual audit
  • Manage Home Owner’s association accounting and bookkeeping- including budgeting, payables, receivables, cash management and project tracking
Qualifications:
  • Well-organized with ability to prioritize
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills- a team player with positive attitude
  • Passion for Montana and the outdoors
  • BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field is preferred
  • Working knowledge of Quickbooks Online and MS Office (especially excel)
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations
