Summary


Staff Accountant Route Operations (Montana) Description:


Assists the Controller in the day to day operation of the accounting functions within Golden Route Operations located in Montana including the recording of revenue, preparation of drop sheets for collections and payments, conducting bank transactions for collections and payments, auditing the vault operations, preparing and posting Journal Entries and preparing Balance Sheet Reconciliations


Essential Functions And Responsibilities


  • Perform audit of daily revenue information
  • Ensure the accuracy of check-in /check-out, and issuance of cash bankrolls
  • Ensures the proper retention of documentation, in accordance with the Internal Control Standards of the company and in compliance with the mandates of the regulatory agencies
  • Preparation of daily bank deposits
  • Maintain an accurate account of company funds and account for the check-in and issuance of route banks
  • Accountable for the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental records and reports
  • Responsible for various office duties including, but not limited to; opening and routing incoming mail, typing routine correspondence, preparing outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes, and filing paperwork into file systems.
  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
  • Record daily information into revenue audit report forms and checklists
  • Protecting the organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Evaluate various situations, with respect to slot audits, and determine how to handle the situation
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Building and maintaining Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ensure compliance with all company internal controls, policies and procedures


Requirements


Qualifications


  • Ability to use standard office equipment, basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to operate a ten-key.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • 2 years experience in accounting
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
  • Preferred experience in the gaming industry
  • Verify right to work in the United States
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication, organizational, attention to detail, and analytical skills
  • Proven experience providing high level of guest service

  • Occasionally push and/or pull up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs. at floor, knee, and waist levels
  • Occasional standing and walking
  • Constant use of hearing and vision, sitting, distinguishing between shades of color, and using tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
  • Frequent sitting and working on a computer
