Make an impact as you help us reboot Performance Management at Pinterest! We’re looking for an experienced professional with strong experience evolving, implementing, and administering global Performance Management programs and processes.

The Talent Management Sr. Specialist reports to the Director of Talent Management, and will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and ongoing improvement of the global Performance Management program.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Performance program design and management. They will have a proven track record of creating consistent, effective Performance programs that enable employee transparency into the processes that impact performance evaluation and calibration, pay changes, and career moves.

Building on our newly implemented Career Framework, this role requires exceptional program and project management skills to deliver both the programmatic design and the day-to-day execution of our global Performance program while skillfully integrating with our talent development and evaluation strategy. In this role, you’ll strive for continuous improvement, evaluating the program through various data sources, presenting analysis and recommendations and evolving the program as we grow and scale as a company.

This highly collaborative role requires consistent engagement across COE teams including HRBPs, Compensation, L&D, People Tech, HR Operations, Legal, People Insights and Analytics, and OD. We need someone who is passionate about solving tricky problems, loves working with others, and is eager to collaborate and partner to get to the best outcome - recognizing that this will change and evolve over time.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop the communications and partner on learning assets to support Performance throughout the year
  • Partner with L&D to incorporate key Performance messaging into our core learning programs, such as new hire orientation, new manager orientation, etc.
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams to incorporate the broader talent strategy into the Performance program
  • Partner with L&D to deliver live learning sessions for employee and manager populations re: the performance process including the key phases and steps within it
  • Own the design, development, delivery and evolution of the Performance program at Pinterest
  • Create on demand resources to develop understanding of key processes including promotion, leveling, compensation, calibration, and giving and receiving feedback

What We’re Looking For

  • Chronically curious, continuous improvement mindset
  • Understanding of HR technology including Workday and LMS tools
  • Large scale project management experience
  • Proof of pragmatic, and business focused approach to performance
  • Comfort with collection and analysis of data to drive direction and decision making
  • Comfortable working toward a timeline, with strict deadlines and deliverables
  • Understanding of the current trends in performance management, especially in a dispersed, global environment
  • Able to rally people around a shared project plan - influencing people across teams to deliver on time
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas simply and clearly
  • Performance program management experience as your core role, spanning the last 5+ years
  • Energized by working in a team / with others, on problems without clear answers
  • Ability to make connections across multiple work streams, and contribute where appropriate
