Job Description

The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.

CNO Financial Group’s HR/ Talent Acquisition team is hiring a is hiring a Senior Recruiter – which we call a Sr. TA Partner - to lead full lifecycle recruiting for the Corporate IT organization, as well as technical roles in our Worksite division. You will collaborate with hiring managers and HRBP's to create effective strategies to bring high quality candidates to the company.

As a Sr. Talent Acquisition Partner, IT & Technical, your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide support for successful onboarding, from Offer Acceptance through Day 1.
  • Demonstrate data integrity in the ATS and ensure consistent ATS utilization & updates to meet compliance and business needs as well as HR reporting.
  • Providing hiring managers with guidance on market competition, compensation ranges and related industry trends as well as behavioral interviewing expertise to effectively interview and select top candidates.
  • Collaborating with managers to identify and attract high quality talent for assigned open positions. This includes responsibility for full life cycle recruitment - from developing compelling job descriptions and sourcing strategies, posting positions, networking with passive talent pools and partnering with third party recruiters, to developing interview strategies, gathering interviewer feedback, leading debrief sessions and facilitating the offer negotiation process.
  • Engaging and building trust with external candidates, effectively representing the CNO employment brand. Through example and coaching, ensure that hiring managers are also effective in this area.
  • Sourcing and screening applicants for technical competence and applicable background and skills, and conduct behavioral interviews to assess individual goals and ability to fit in the organization and function effectively
  • Building productive, collaborative relationships with hiring managers and HR business partners. Proactively anticipating and resolving issues through effective communication, customer service and management of expectations. Consulting with HR BPs on a consistent basis to understand hiring needs and dynamics of the supported organizations.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with IT Leadership to understand new positions coming and reduce barriers to success in filling open roles.

The Sr. Talent Acquisition Partner, IT & Technical position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Enthusiastically provide information, as needed, to both internal employees and external candidates, while always representing the department and company in a professional manner.
  • Utilize tools & resources, including social media, attending conference career fairs, etc. to build networks with external industry sources and expand the candidate pool. Initiate first-round candidate contact, network with referral sources and effectively and persuasively communicate the opportunity to contacted individuals.
  • Exhibit an ability to partner with all levels of leadership to drive recruitment process and fill open positions and heighten organizational capability.
  • Demonstrate high results orientation with an ability to serve as a Talent market expert and proactively formulate and successfully implement recruitment strategies that address the current needs of an organization.
  • Are passionate about sourcing and recruiting IT talent.
  • Like to participate in, support and lead key improvement projects and initiatives in the areas of Diversity & Inclusion, Candidate Experience Enhancement, and Talent Acquisition Process Excellence.

What you’ll need:

  • Experience with ATS systems (Jobvite, Workday, or similar)
  • Sourcing skills and ability to leverage social media recruiting tools like Linked In, Indeed and Dice for sourcing & recruiting
  • Stay abreast of talent market trends and challenges of the external competitive environment, and advise hiring managers and HR accordingly.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a Corporate or Agency environment, recruiting of employees at the professional and manager levels, across a full spectrum of functional disciplines
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, organizational psychology, HR or a related area, OR 8 years of relevant experience, as an equivalent
  • Current location within a commutable distance to Carmel, IN or Chicago, IL
  • At least 2 years of IT/technical recruiting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of EEOC and other recruiting related regulations

What will set you apart:

  • A proven track record of working with varying levels of management and manage multiple priorities across multiple internal customers while managing a req load of at least 15.
  • Previous experience recruiting in corporate disciplines such as Marketing, Legal, or Finance.

CNO embraces flexibility and encourages you to work where you’re most productive. Associates who live within a 60-mile radius of the Carmel or Chicago corporate office have access to come into that office. This role is encouraged to come in to the office at least twice per month.

All associates may be asked to travel to varying corporate offices periodically. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
