Job Responsibilities


Global Operations at Lam Research has embarked on a business transformation journey to create next-generation business processes and solutions to significantly increase business efficiency and speed. The Sr. Manager, Transformation – Remote Factories is a unique opportunity to lead the Supply Chain part of transformation to enable future business growth at an unprecedented level.


  • Define and/or refine Global Planning & Procurement policies, procedures, and compliance systems to ensure adherence.
  • Lead and support Change Management within Global Supply Chain Management to ensure the effective adoption of the re-engineered processes and systems by the end-user community.
  • Lead value definition, manage budgets and resource planning.
  • Be the change agent to influence organizational change by driving partnerships and alignment across the organization.
  • Influence solution design to ensure simplification of processes, achieve the targeted outcomes, and seamless user experience for both Lam employees and for our Suppliers.
  • Lead Supply Chain Transformation efforts by driving / leading Business Process Reengineering to ensure we can scale effectively and efficiently at the most optimal cost in different business environments.
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert for Contract Management, Supplier Management (including performance management), Sub-tier management, Sourcing, Supplier Collaboration, Operational Execution of Supply plan with Lam’s Indirect Material Suppliers.
  • Define and measure transformation results to ensure adherence to the goals. Take appropriate corrective actions or continuous improvement for any deviation.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Experience in projects with Lean/Six Sigma and problem-solving methodology.
  • Knowledgeable of best practices in the industry and application to real life.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large data sets for decision support.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operational research, Supply Chain Management, or related field. MBA or Master’s preferred but not required.
  • Wafer Fab Equipment (WFE) or discrete manufacturing industry experience with ETO / CTO / MTO business model in high-volume manufacturing.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders across a global organization.
  • Deep subject matter expertise in Contract Management, Sub-tier management, Sourcing, Cost Optimal SC Network Design, Direct Material Procurement in an Engineer to Order environment with expertise in Supply Chain Planning, managing demand signals, supply schedules from direct suppliers, and sub-tier supplier management.
  • Knowledge of the systems (e.g., SAP ERP / IBP, Kinaxis, Informatica MDM, etc.,) implementation and project life cycles.
  • Fifteen (15) years of experience in Operations or Supply Chain
  • Experience with operational processes, data analysis tools, and improvement initiatives including experience in business process reengineering.


Salary And Benefits


CA San Francisco Bay Area - Salary Range for this position: $119,000- $255,000.


The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
