Job Description

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation is looking for an experienced marketing professional to serve as the Senior Manager of Performance Media + Marketing supporting 17 brands across 1,200+ hotels in the US and Canada.


Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing the Sr. Manager, Performance Media & Marketing is a key member of the Sonesta Marketing team. This role is responsible for leading and managing three primary areas of focus including Digital Media Management, Campaign Management & Execution, and Strategic Relationship Management (AOR, etc.).


This highly visible role will serve as the primary representative and voice of the performance marketing team, presenting strategy and insights to the executive level of the organization, and ensuring key stakeholders have an informed view of campaign performance and contribution.

This role is instrumental to the overall success of the business. S/he will develop strategies to drive campaign performance, manage multi-channel budgets, and lead team members in the day-to-day management and optimization of all digital campaigns.


Your Top Priorities include:

Performance Media & Marketing:

  • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of best-in-class digital media/e-commerce marketers to deliver on all revenue and growth objectives.
  • Manage multi-channel, multi-brand digital marketing budgets, ensuring spend is dedicated to relevant growth drivers aligned with business and financial goals.
  • Develop monthly action plans to achieve campaign KPIs and revenue targets and optimize tactics on an ongoing basis to meet performance objectives.
  • Oversee the deployment of media strategies across all digital channels including META, SEM, Display, OTA’s, and Affiliate channels, etc.
  • Develop comprehensive full-funnel integrated media strategies that drive brand awareness, consideration, conversion, and revenue performance.
  • Digital Media Management:


Campaign Management & Execution:

  • Reporting to the VP, of Marketing this individual works collaboratively across the organization with brand, loyalty, field marketing, and e-commerce to deliver campaigns that support booking and acquisition goals.
  • Day-to-day management of external media agency partners to drive innovation with an innovative eye on industry trends and opportunities.
  • Partner with Senior-level Operations leadership to manage incoming property-level needs, requests, and opportunities.
  • Strategic Relationship Management
  • Work closely with Brand Management to ensure message clarity and brand consistency across all campaigns to drive optimization.
  • Develop monthly performance dashboards and quarterly campaign reviews for key stakeholders including Brand Management/Operations, Owner Groups, and the Franchise community.
  • Manage media agency relationships including budget setting, execution, optimization, and ongoing reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Outstanding project management skills (projects involving internal and external stakeholders). with the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.
  • BS degree in Business/Marketing or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of performance-marketing /digital media/agency experience preferred.
  • Ability to execute in a fast-paced environment. Results-oriented with a hands-on orientation.
  • Franchise and/or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft 365, with advanced expertise in PowerPoint and Excel. Google Analytics, CRM/Marketing Automation software, and knowledge of creative software are a plus (i.e., Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Creative, detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
  • Experience with social media and email marketing is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to champion initiatives internally and externally. Ability to communicate with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
