Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled SQL Developer with experience in performance optimization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SQL and how to use it to write efficient and effective statements. The right person should be able to write SQL statements, views, procedures, and functions; optimize SQL statements and procedures; designs table structures and relationships; and document SQL Objects for data access and retention. They will also be able to identify and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks in SQL statements and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Document new and existing database objects
• Create and maintain documentation to promote education and knowledge transfer
• Developing and maintaining SQL databases and code for a wide variety of applications and business uses, including APIs and batch jobs
• Monitor and optimize database performance in a SQL-heavy, high-speed environment
• Write SQL queries to store, sort, and retrieve data, including applying business logic when saving and retrieving data
• Create relational diagrams for new and existing databases
• Conduct database troubleshooting on databases and applications through data validation and extensive testing
• Carry out requirements gathering and technical analysis from end users

Requirements:

• Ability to multi-task and expand previous levels of knowledge
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Business process analysis skills with the ability to translate requirements into solutions
• Written and oral communication skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL languages and servers (T-SQL, SQL 2019+)
• Willingness to learn and continue to improve
• Ability to thrive in a remote-only working environment
• 7 or more years of experience with Microsoft SQL as an application back-end
• Collaborative approach to implementing queries and objects used by APIs and other consumers
